Knowing Patsy

The Critter Circus

Patsy's heart, is a menagerie vast,
For critters, her love is unsurpassed.
Be it dog, cat, bird, or even a fish,
She serves them each, a gourmet dish.

With gentle touch and eagle eye,
She tends to all, both low and high.
Searching far, searching with care,
Critters think, she's beyond compare.

The things she does are so bazaar,
Her critters think, she's a rock star.

She's the ringmaster of this show,
Cross her, in the doghouse you'll go!

Obsessed? Perhaps, but who can blame?
For Patsy, it is no silly game.
Their well-being, her sole desire,
To meet their needs, she'll never tire.

An escape hatch, always in sight,
For her beloved, day and night.
In Patsy's world of fur and feather,
Critters come first - now and forever!

Doing

From England to Namibia, South Africa too,
Young Patsy's adventures, her world grew and grew.
A Pears child of the year, in England she shone,
Her bright future clear, as time marched on.

With locks flowing free, a shampoo model's grace,
She posed for the camera, a natural ace.
But speed was her calling, Formula Ford her dream,
She broke down the barriers, joining a racing team.

In equestrian circles, she cut quite a figure,
Polo cross and eventing, her passion grew bigger.
From saddle to racetrack, she galloped with pride,
Breaking boundaries with each thrilling ride.

German Shepherds her love, fifteen strong at one time,
As a trainer and breeder, her skills were sublime.
All animals she nurtured, with care and with delight,
Her touch with all animals, a marvellous sight.

A heart for the helpless, she turned to rescue,
For dogs without homes, she knew just what to do.
Fundraising and caring, adoptions galore,
Patsy's life of adventure, we simply adore.

Just a Little Bit Naughty

In a world of laughter and jest,

There's a girl named Patsy, she's the best.

With a twinkle in her eye, a mischievous grin,

She's naughty, it's all in good fun, so have a gin!

She shares her humour, below the belt,

And though some may say it's a bit unfelt,

But like-minded souls, they gather near,

Bonds are formed, friendships so dear.

Jokes exchanged with a naughty intent,

But it's all in good spirits, no malice is meant.

Patsy's humour may be a tad bit bold,

Sometimes crossing lines, I've been told.

However, like-minded souls, they stick together,

Bonded by humour, birds of the same feather.

So let's embrace the humour she brings,

The joy and laughter that her spirit rings.

She tickles my funny bone, brings me delight,

With her wit and charm, she's a captivating sight.

For it's her humour that stole my heart,

So our bond is strong, never to part.

A Love for All Critters

Patsy loves all critters, that's plain to see,

Her heart overflows on a rescue spree.

Donkeys, BIG cats, furry and feathered, even more!

She dreams of rescuing critters galore.

Patsy dreams of being a Game Park ranger,

Jumping into videos posted by a stranger,

Bare feet on the jungle floor, camera on shoulder,

Eyes wide open, heart pounding, what’s better?

Patsy’s presence makes them all feel tall.

No critter too big, or too small,

She's rescues dogs, tails not held high,

And birds with broken wings learn to fly.

She builds a haven for critters in need,

A place where love can take the lead,

Patsy's heart beams with joy and glee,

For her critter family is a sight to see.

So here's to Patsy, the critter lover,

With a heart so big, her giving is pleasure.

May her dreams come true, as she sets them free,

And a home for critters, there will always be!

In a room filled with laughter and bark,

The girl named Patsy has a true doggy park.

With fun in their eyes and wet kisses, they play,

Patsy's love for critters lights up their day.

Our Three-Legged Race

Davy and Patsy, in a three-legged embrace,

Tackle life's hurdles in their wacky race.

Hearts entwined, future looking sunny,

With legs bound tight, it's more fun than funny!

Like newborn puppies, they stumble and sprawl,

Their three-legged dance needs any protocol.

"Left" shouts Davy. "No, right" Patsy cries,

Their banter draws onlookers' eyes.

They giggle and wobble, a comical sight,

Finding their rhythm's a hilarious fight.

"Slower!" "Faster!" They can't seem to agree,

Their race looks like a slapstick on TV.

Jesus their referee, in this love-struck game,

He watches and chuckles as there is no aim.

"Communicate!" He calls, trying not to grin,

As Davy trips Patsy, landing chin over shin.

They work on their footwork, both spiritual and real,

Their zeal for improvement has true comic appeal.

With practice they improve, less chaos ensues,

Though occasionally, they still end up head over toes.

Davy and Patsy, finally in step with the Lord,

Find rest for their souls, and funny bone cord.

His yoke may be easy, but it's clear from the start,

In their three-legged race, laughter's the heart!

The Pack Rat

In the heart of the city, my love's so sly,

Patsy the pack rat, with a cunning eye.

She scurries through shops, nimble and quick,

Always seeking bargains, her treasure pick.

Only buy on specials, she chants with glee,

A master of thrift, on her shopping spree.

In nooks and crannies, her stash she'll hide,

With each discounted find, her joy multiplies.

In a world of excess, she stands apart,

A connoisseur of savings, with a savvy heart.

Her little rat's nest, a haven of glee,

Filled with treasures, from a shopping spree.

Yet beneath her frugal and cunning ways,

Lies a secret that few ever appraise.

For Patsy, though wise in her frugal art,

Gives love that will touch your heart.

A Flower Grows

In my garden, a flower grows,

In petals, a symphony of love, it shows.

Its dance of colour, gives insight,

My flower is a warm golden light.

Amidst its blooms, a gentle shade,

A sanctuary where dreams are laid.

Other flowers around it flourish,

My flower shares empathy to cherish.

Its fragrance exudes, a sweet embrace,

Nourishing the soul, a sublime grace.

Wisdom rooted deep within its core,

Guiding others to bloom even more.

Weeds cease their reckless spread,

Through my flower, harmony is bred.

Faces look up, seeking the sun,

A Testament to timeless fun.

Gentle winds, a caress so kind,

Whisper secrets with each flower aligned.

Together they sway, a rhythmic dance,

A choreography of life's sweet romance.

So in my garden, this flower thrives,

A metaphor for the beauty life derives.

An encouragement to resilience and grace,

In my garden, a masterpiece finds its place.

My Teddy

A Teddy bear at heart, forever young,
Once befriended, to you she is clung.
I married a five-year-old, it's true,
Though fully grown, she stuck like glue!

Teddy throws her toys, oh what a scene,
When things don't go her way, she's keen!
And with tenacity, she gets things done,
Just hanging out is loads of fun.

Surrounded by Pooh and Tigger too,
Eeyore, Piglet, Kanga, Owl, and Roo,
In make-believe woods, she makes the rules,
Rescuing strays with her Winnie Pooh tools.

A network of friends who can't resist,
Her muddy games - they can't desist!
The biggest Teddy on the dance floor,
On tables too, you just can't ignore!

She shakes her fur and lets it loose,
Her inner child she won't reduce.
Enjoying life with childish glee,
There's no one quite like, my Teddy!

With a sexy form, but a kid inside,
This Teddy is joy, you can't deny.
So here I am, oh what a spouse,
With a grown-up cub running the house!

The Breeder

With exuberance, Patsy greets each dawn,
Her passion for horses eternally born.
In fields of green, where dreams take flight,
She sees potential, a future bright.

Her knowledge deep of bloodlines fine,
Of conformation, the perfect design.
Pedigrees studied with utmost care,
To breed a champion, oh so rare.

Planning meticulous, every detail in place,
For that perfect foal, a winner's grace.
Stallion selected with shrewd insight,
A match made in heaven, a breeder's delight.

Vigilant eyes watch the seasons turn,
For signs of nature, she's quick to learn.
The mare's time nears, she doesn't rest,
Patsy's dedication put to the test.

Preparation is key, no stone unturned,
Every lesson from experience learned.
Nutrition balanced, conditions just right,
For a healthy foal, strong and bright.

Dedication unwavering, through day and night,
She tends her charges with all her might.
From wobbly first steps to yearling's stride,
Patsy's there, right by their side.

Blessings counted with each success,
A Grade winner bred, what happiness!
Accolades few, but treasured still,
Each victory a triumph of will.

In thanks, she gives for every year,
For challenges met and moments dear.
Patsy's love for racing, a lifelong affair,
A legacy of champions, beyond compare.

Humour

In our marriage, when laughter booms,

Your humour sweeps away my gloom.

Our intimacy forged with every jest,

Our empathy put through every test.

During each day of joyful jest,

Our hearts find comfort and sweet rest.

Through your witty quips and playful banter,

My feelings for you grow much grander.

A chuckle shared, a smile exchanged,

Inner joy within us remain unchanged.

With laughter as our guiding light,

Our spirits soar to greater heights.

Through silly tales and funny lines,

We find a sense of peace that shines.

For in these hilarious moments, we create

A reprieve from my prophetic debate.

And in our laughter, deep and true,

We find a sense of security too.

For when we laugh together, we find

Strength in our love, it's one of a kind.

So let us cherish the humour we share,

And build a bond beyond compare.

For with laughter as our foundation strong,

Our marriage endures, lifelong and beyond.

South Africa

Radiant African sun, a warm embrace,
In this vibrant land, we find our place.
Share a cold beer, moments of cheer,
Patsy, my dear, I feel you near.

Endless beaches stretch beyond our sight,
Dreams unfold, teaching wrong from right.
Our wishes dance on the ocean breeze,
Write memories in sand, time gently seize.

I miss you, a truth that rings clear,
In life's grand game, what brings us here?
We play hide and seek with fate's design,
Our conversations weave like vintage wine.

Relax and savour this present, a gift divine,
Time flows swift, like sand or precious wine.
Come before the sun dips low, bids adieu,
In Africa's glow, let joy renew.

South Africa, the home I love,

People warm and friendly, a treasure-trove.

Well-educated minds can prevail,

With experience gained from every trail.

At the door, a free labour market arrives,

Productivity blooms, the economy thrives,

Fruits, veggies, and grains abound,

Cultivated treasures in the ground.

Ranch lands stretch, wide and free,

Commercial fishing by the sea.

From gold to coal, minerals untold,

Within the earth, great wealth to unfold.

National parks, a grand display,

Where the animal kingdom finds its way.

South Africa, undervalued, unseen,

Yet, a gem to be nurtured serene.

Gather 'round, let's build the nation,

A call to hearts, a dedication.

Change the thoughts, let minds be free,

Shape a future for all to see.
