Concern for the Elderly and less Fortunate

Previously, I fulfilled my dream of having a boutique stable of quality mares. Originally inspired by my father, John Winson. He actually had two horses running in the very first Cape Guineas in 1955…. ANDY BLAND ran 2nd and LIBERAL SUN ran 3rd.

My dream to breed the winner of the Grade 1 Cape Fillies Guineas was achieved in 2008 with SPARKLING GEM. Over the years, Collingwood has bred many winners including: Red Hot Poker, Jungle Magic, Bold Gamble, Eternal Dancer, National Command, Dark Force winner of Senegal Cup in Mauritius, Sonic Burst, and many more.

Since leaving breeding, I am now focused on stabling retired horses who continue to be loved by their owners. I now specialize in nutrition and health care of older horses.

As the Lord leads, I will also rescue horses and donkeys in need of help as a charitable organization.

I also donate my time and resources to helping animal rescue centres such as: Fisantakraal Animal Rescue, Fallen Angels, SPCA, Mdzananda and many more.

At Collingwood, the gate opens wide to a fairy book,

A stroll up the country lane alters the way you look.

Mountain views, oh, they're truly grand,

The Creator’s artwork spread across the land.

Colourful birds build their cozy nest,

Adding their melodies at nature’s bequest.

Sun beams in, casting a warm embrace,

Flowers bloom, the landscape coloured lace.

Collingwood, simply a beauty spree,

A place of prayer, lifting up our plea.

But wait, there's more, a funny twist,

As Collingwood holds a humorous gist.

Patsy, the jester, with her quip,

Laughs and giggles, a comic strip.

She tells jokes that tickle and provoke,

Leaving friends in stitches, ready to choke.

Collingwood's serenity mixed with jest,

A unique combination, the very best.

So, picture this scene, a laughter-filled day,
